Apartment
description :
A
very charming and spacious apartment in the core
of Paris, with an earthy, country-sided fashion
and a mix of colors and textures welcomes you into
a spacious dining room and living room preceded
by a kitchen framed by wooden counters, and surrounded
by striking antique furniture. Its large size windows
that point at the street are followed by a balcony
that goes along the width of the whole apartment.
It is a wonderful place to relax, to have a picnic
or a late breakfast in front of an enormous view
of the neighborhood. Its proximity to La Place des
Vosgues and the Seine River makes it a very unique
and preferential place to exercise and enjoy the
privilege of having an open space in the city.
This conveniently located building was constructed
in the center of Paris' Marais, on Rue Rambeautou,
a street opened in 1838 under the administration
of Claude Barthelot, the Seine's Prefect of Police.
In number 40 of this street, the couple Cognacq-Jay,
later on the founders and owners of a chain of stores
met each other in La Nouvelle Eloise, and later
on got married. They were the owners of the Samaritane
stores, and they were the culprit of progress and
social and economical ascent of their time. Straight
from Rambuteau and while going west, Beaubourg is
your first and mandatory stop, along with is a numerous
group of cinemas, stores and commercial centers
such as Les Halles, Les Grands Magasins, and MK2,
which cannot be missed by the tourist and shopper.
Going north on Rue de Beauborg, The Musée
des Arts et Métiers and many theaters and
cinemas might awaken the interests and curiosity
from culture searching tourists. South from Rambuteau
and on Rue Renard, l'Hôtel de Ville and its
magnificent architecture will pick the zoom from
all cameras. East and south of this street, an area
of mansions and splendid museums opens up its doors
with places as Le Musée National Picasso,
Le Musée Carnavalet, and Le Musée
d'Histoire de Paris. Throughout the area there is
variety assortment of elegant boutiques, little
specialty stores, cafes and restaurants at your
doorstep. You are asked to use this apartment with
respect and care
